This cut was really chewy and enjoyable. Better than the normal pork. But I must flag the service here was quite poor. It's a bunch of young men who behaved more like bros than waiters. They generally ignored us and were quite brusque.

Gochujang broccoli, fishcake, tau gey, kimchi, radish, tofu. They also provide liquid egg and barley tea. We ordered the omma oppa set (unpictured). The sliced beef was the best meat. Pork and chicken were ordinary. Army stew was decent. Also unpictured but the pancakes were some of the best I've tried. But I must flag the service here was quite poor. Loved the vibes in this Korean BBQ restaurant, as it gave quite a retro vibe and the food here is not bad too!

We didn't feel like eating Korean BBQ, and we settled for a Half Half Pancake ($26) and a Seafood Tofu Soup ($16).

The Half Half Pancake came really huge, definitely to be shared among at least 5 people! The best part is that it has a beautiful crispy crust that is so addictive! However, the taste of the kimchi for the kimchi pancake was quite light, and the seafood within the seafood pancake was chopped up way too finely 😂

The Seafood Tofu Soup was very comforting, and we were glad that it isn't too spicy. It came pretty generous with ingredients too!

There were quite a few varieties of side dishes as well. Will be back to try their meats!

Wang Dae Bak has value-for-money lunch sets starting from $16. The sets come with mix and match options, and a selection of banchan. Like the Bulgogi Set that we ordered that came with Beef Bulgolgi Hot Plate and Spicy Tofu Soup; and the Soup Set where we added $1 more for the Ginseng Chicken Soup and a side of Seafood Pancake.

Anyone in the mood for K-BBQ🥩? The Hi Five Set ($198) from @ comes with all the essentials:
▪️Beef Set
▪️Pork Set
▪️Chicken Set
▪️Soup of your choice (we chose half Seafood Tofu Soup and half Army Stew)
▪️Pancake of your choice (we choose half Seafood and half Kimchi Pancake)

The portion was very generous and the meat kept coming, which was more than enough for our group of 6. There was a wide selection of meat cuts, and they were tender and well-marinated. The BBQ also came with grilled mushrooms, onions, kimchi, cherry tomatoes and egg with corn at the side. The soups were decent, but the pancake fell a little flat for me because it was quite thick and doughy. Notwithstanding that, this is still a pretty delicious and value-for-money K-BBQ option👍🏻

The Spicy Seafood Tofu Soup ($14) from @ is spicy, flavourful and comforting. It comes with a generous portion of prawn, squid, clams and soft tofu, which go really well with rice. Love the variety of side dishes too - definitely one of my favourite Korean lunch places around CBD!
