I loved that I could try both kimchi & seafood pancakes at once. There’s a lot of batter but it’s loaded with ingredients so it wasn’t too starchy!

the Pear Onion Marinated Pork Collar was alright but you know the Boneless Prime Ribs is good when the waiter orders it FOR you😂 we just wished the portion was more than 200g

Fave spot that transports us to Korea. All the fare is delicious, from army stew to their bbq meats, to the pajeon. Love the free flow sides and barley tea as always. We got a corner and it was pretty hot. ($155 for 4)

Included in the set for 4 were a half-half pancake, 1 soup and several choices of pork and chicken for around $150 after ++. The pancake came first, which was half seafood and half kimchi pancake. The pancake was fried till crispy while the flavor was really rich and flavorful. We chose army stew for the soup choice which was served in a huge bowl. There were generous amounts of all the processed meat, some pork belly, maggi mee and beans, all the standard ingredients in an army stew. The soup became thickened after a while. For the BBQ, there were 2 thick slabs of pork belly, and also other marinated chicken and pork pieces, with soy and spicy marinade, which were quite salty but tender. The steamed egg at the corner was salty too. For this, we had to BBQ ourselves.

Wang Dae Bak offers both the kimchi pancake and the seafood pancake! However, if you are unsure of which one to get, why not get the half half pancake, which lets you try both flavours out? 😋

Overall, we thought that the pancake was great as the edges of the pancake were really crispy and the pancake wasn't excessively thick, hence you won't feel too gelat from the dough. We felt that the kimchi pancake was more yummy because the restaurant really used a generous serving of kimchi and you could taste it throughout that half of the pancake! The seafood pancake is still great though, except that in parts of the pancake without seafood, it just tasted like... pancake.

We ordered this as part of the Soul Food set and it is much bigger than it looks! It is $26++ if you order it a la carte, so do consider getting it part of the set, which is priced at $95++ and includes japchae and several types of kbbq meat (pork belly, pork collar and marinated chicken).

Seafood or Kimchi? Why not get their Half Half Pancake, the best of both worlds 😋
