Who would think of pairing foie with ox tendon? But this turned out to be the best dish of the evening. Perfectly braised tendon and equally meltique foie gras. Total recipe for foodgasm.

Reasonably impressed by this new this izakaya by TungLok. This don came with tasty slices of beef and a juicy slab of foie gras reminiscent of a rather popular beef don brand.

Always a treat at @ushidokisg. The beef tartare with uni and caviar was super indulgent and every bite was such a bomb.

Clearly, @uncle_lim_chiak and I are now #foodiefriendsforever because the big-hearted soul drove all the way to my home to pass me some Ozaki Wagyu Beef Curry he had purchased from @ushidokisg. And let me tell you, it tasted FANTASTIC.

Priced at $40 a bag (you just need to microwave it or throw the whole bag in a pot of boiling water to get it ready), the curry was aromatic and boasted optimal spiciness. The highlight was the big chunks of incredibly tender beef it came with. This was honestly so good I am drooling now as I type this 🤤😂.

The single serving could be split into two portions if you are planning on a light meal. Just serve it with rice and a runny-yolked egg. That’s how we happily savoured ours 😊.

So lucky to be able to try fugu sashimi at this two day event held at Ushidoki! Given all the hype surrounding it due to its difficult preparation, it tasted pretty normal although it had quite a nice chewy texture. However, even that might not be for everybody. The skin of the puffer fish apparently is really good for you and has lots of collagen.

The main course - the char grilled Ozaki steak was done to perfection!

Rest of Kaiseki was decent but the star is definitely the main course!
