I expected some degree of tea taste, but there was none. More like lemon water. I saw slices of lemon and green lime thingy. I thot it was supposed to be tangerine? This drink was light and had a lovely citrusy fragrance, but I wanted tangerine.... I guess I had the Chinese New Year mandarin orange in mind and this was the lime-looking tangerine.

Appreciate the fact that U-Cha carries a pretty wide range of Oolong Tea of different origins, as well as offering flavoured Oolong Tea as well. Opted for the Phoenix Oolong Tea; the staff recommended it as one of the more intense Oolong Tea that they carry. That being said, the Phoenix Oolong Tea carries a pretty punchy aroma, though does leave a lingering aftertaste in the mouth. The Cheese comes pretty decent; thick, rich and creamy; slightly savoury and goes well in between the Phoenix Oolong Tea to remove any bitterness from its finishing notes.

A refreshing drink with only 2 sugar levels (50%/100%) 》 $4.50

Bear Bear likes Fruit Tea ($4.50) from U-Cha at 313@Somerset. Cheese teas and fruit teas are massive trends in Singapore now.

At U-Cha, you can either choose your favourite concoction from the menu or customize your tea! Simply select a base (cheese, fruit, milk or just pure tea) then the type of tea.

You'll be spoilt for choice. They have interesting tea flavours such as Oriental Beauty Oolong, Rose Oolong, Sakura Oolong, Lychee Black Tea... And premium ones (+$0.30) like Ruby Black Tea, Dong Ding Oolong, Dragon Oolong and Phoenix Oolong! Wow I love the names - Dragon and Phoenix.

I tried Dragon Tea which gives off a sweet smell that resembles dried prune. 😄 The sugar level options are either 50% or 100%. The former is an obvious choice, given that the tea will be mixed with real fruits.

Overall, I quite like U-Cha for the tea variety but I wish there were topping choices and more sugar level options.

Liked the fresh grapefruit cubes, but wasn't really a fan of the pairing with jasmine tea. And while the display on the counter suggests that the plastic bottle is the default way of serving this, note that it's $2 extra (which they will inform you of, btw – just don't get primed like we did 😅).

After choosing your base (in this case, fresh milk), the next step is to choose your tea. I opted for earl grey but found it rather diluted. Don't think I'll order this again.
