The houjicha soft serve is easily one of my favourites with just the right amount of sweetness. Between the two, I preferred the Chiffon Cake Parfait. The matcha chiffon cake was very fluffy and light on the palate without overpowering the houjicha soft serve! The Shiramata Parfait was nice as well, with a very generous amount of mochi with kinako powder. Bought these with the one for one offer, so it was really worth it! But the portions could have been bigger for $7.50

Very well known for delivering authentic matcha dessert, who could have miss this! 👉

Hard to get a good cuppa . However this is one of the rare ones which I adore alot as there isn't any bitter aftertaste to it unlike the one from Starbucks

Using premium grade of Ceremonial matcha, the end result of this was one that withheld a more intense earthy, umami flavour as compared to the regular Uji matcha. The characteristic bitter undertone was a lingering mellow one that’s free from a harsh astringency, smooth and delicate.
Despite that, it would have been great if the texture was smoother and less icy ; spotted a few ice crystal shards within the ice cream 😅 .

Featured in the foreground is Genmaicha cookie 🍪 baked using @matchayasg ‘s powder by @bitesizedcrew! 🌟Really love the crisp, crumbly texture of these bite sized delight that also came with a distinct earthy flavour and lingering aroma. Pretty amazed at how the characteristic roasted, earthy notes of Genmaicha (green tea roasted rice) remains prominent here, which is usually a challenge in tea flavoured cookies. Matcha soft serve lacked bitterness, in fact its just milky with very subtle hints of green tea. Good thing it’s not overly sweet thus, compliments the hojicha blend at the bottom perfectly. 🍦🍵🥛

With a smooth but distinct texture from powdered green tea, this thirst quenching drink from Tsujiri has the right levels of creamy milk and matcha. The o-matcha kinakokuromitsu latte M ($6) was also an interesting choice with a nutty profile reminscent to Genmaicha they serve along with sushi at Japanese restaurants.
