Came by on a Monday night and was shown to the 'outdoor' area with a view of the fountain area - very dreamy albeit a little dark and too close to the next table. Had the Argentinian Prawn Pasta ($26) with fresh and juicy prawns on a light pomodoro sauce pasta, and the Arroz con Cangrejo ($26) which had rich squid ink risotto but was let down by the soft shell crab which felt like it was left out in the open for too long.

Recently brought a good friend to try out Tonito, which is my absolute favourite restaurant at Jewel. This is my first time here since they have changed their menu and this Arroz Con Pato is supposedly the replacement dish for the previous Arroz Con Pollo which was my favourite. Instead of chicken on tomato rice, a slow-cooked duck leg is served on top of coriander rice garnished with piquillo peppers and salsa criolla on the side. The duck was so tender and the rice hearty and comforting, though I think I prefer the tomato + chicken combination better! The service here is still pretty good even during dinner rush.

Most dishes came in 1 plate for sharing except for this. The black risotto was warm to the tummy and declious. 4 served 4 pieces of chicken. Ordered cocktails and total bill was $101. We werw sitting near the fountain. Worth the experience 👍

Their take on fried beans, this was very similar to the picadillo de carne but without the meat. Again, the sauce was stunning paired with some warm butter rice.

Animated and exciting with a zesty dimension, the stew was the comfort food of my dreams. Picadillo means "to mince" but the meat in this dish had a texture more similar to pulled pork. I particularly enjoyed the bits of corn in there that provided pops of flavour.

Their take on flavoured rice with crabs, this dish features black risotto with piping hot soft shell crabs on top. The firmness of the rice is perfect and even has little bits of (spam?) in them. The crabs provide a nice juxtaposition in texture too and married well with the rest of the dish.
