Super worth it! $3 for this portion??? This is not the wetter kind of char kway teow that i prefer, but this is kind of oily, and sweet at the same time. I think they added sweet sauce? On top of that, you get a reasonable amount of cockles and luo cheong. Oh, they open at around 11am and closes when they are sold out!
[Toa Payoh Fried Kway Teow] - of comfort food - smooth kwayteow and noodles with a good bite, fried with sweet sauce, fresh cockles and I liked how the eggs did not disappear; complete with a bit of greasiness. Generous portion for only $3!
Not the best but reasonably good. I find it a tad dry, wok fried taste is there with a fair bit of cockles.
Despite the lack of usage of lap cheong, this char kway teow had the wok hei taste, had the right amount of spiciness and is not too sweet!
