One of the popular stall here to grab some decent dumplings.

Their fried dumpling filled with generous ingredients inside, in a much thicker skin of dumpling.

Tian Jin Fong Kee, founded in 1948 offers excellent fried dumplings. Well fried crispy skin and juicy flavourful meat. Not Oily. Ingredients were fresh and delicious. Will definitely eat again.

Tian Jin Fong Kee had been on my list to try for quite awhile, and I finally checked it off recently. The fried dumplings were crispy on the outside and not super oily, with a good ratio of meat and chives stuffed inside. There’s also a nice burst of piping hot broth as you bite into these dumplings!

Tian Jin Fong Kee also serves a good and reasonably basket of xiao long baos. The broth is warm and hearty though I wish they was more of it in each of these xlbs. I personally prefer a thinner skin (think: Ding Tai Feng) but this is of a good quality considering the price point!

I have not been to People's Park for quite some time but half of the food centre has since been converted to a bustling mecca for foodies who enjoy Sichuanese cuisine (think: grilled fish and mala tang).

Tian Jin Fong Kee is one of the few stalls in that particular half of People's Park Food Centre which serves something rather different --- jiaozi or a Chinese type of dumplings.

Guo tie (or potstickers) is a pan-fried jiaozi. Unlike jiaozi, the skin tends to thinner so that you have a nice crisp layer around the hot, juicy meat and chives fillings. For $7, you can get 10 juicy and plump guoties from Tian Jin Fong Kee. They are really delicious and definitely value for money!

The skin was of the right thickness, and I appreciated the natural sweetness of the filling / meat juices. The flavour profile of the filling could have a little more dimension, but this already is not bad :) will be back to try the fried dumplings!
