#FeetOnTheGround Series, Episode 10 - A lunchtime birthday celebration with waffle, maple syrup and honey cinnamon ice cream. Thanks to the staff from 3 Years In A Balloon for their friendly service.

Tucked away along the shophouses along paya lebar sits a small bakery cum café. The exterior is painted black and yellow and the design really makes it stand out amidst the older stalls. On a weekday there aren't much customers so it's a great place to just chill with your friends! The waffles with ice cream goes at a really cheap price at $6.50! I wasn't expecting much because of the price but the waffles were really crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside. It made a really nice compliment to the ice cream. Will definitely head back again.

Hazelnut praline, salted caramel, banana, lemon meringue, matcha cream cheese with fresh strawberries, vanilla mascarpone with pecan and lychee raspberries.

Classy high tea set at #dinettesg - chicken & bacon bisque pie (mild sweetness among the savoury of chicken and bacon), "peking duck" mini sandwich, smoked salmon crackers, 3 macrons by shiberty bakes and 8 beautiful mini éclairs.

This whole new concept is brought to you by L’ÉCLAIR by SARAH MICHELLE that specialises in the classic French pastry eclairs and given it a modern twist. It is currently based online and Dînette is its first pop-up appearance in collaboration with Three Years In A Balloon Café (3YB) and Shiberty Bakes.

After opening Little Wimbly Lu at Serangoon Gardens, Wimbly Lu had also went on to set up Three Years In A Balloon at Upper Paya Lebar Road. Despite the affiliation, Three Years In A Balloon is not exactly the chocolate specialist that you might have expected; it does more locally-infused desserts and even takes orders for customised cakes! While trying the wide variety of locally-infused cakes, also go for their waffles which is what Wimbly Lu is known for; they serve half portion sizes and does them better than Little Wimbly Lu too (subject to personal opinions). Another spot to hit if you just want to avoid the crowd at Wimbly Lu and even Little Wimbly Lu, for this is not the most convenient spot to hit for a cafe.

Three Years In A Balloon in the newest cafe opened by Wimbly Lu. The Kaya Toast Pudding sounded really promising, but the top layer of bread seemed a bit too stiff and tough and that although the bread inside was custardy, it could have been more pillowy soft as well. There was a light tinge of pandan taste from the Kaya, but preferred it to be stronger too. All in all its not too bad, but there's space to improve on.

Opened by the people from Wimbly Lu, #ThreeYearsInABalloon (what a quirky name) is a newly opened confectionery and cafe in the Paya Lebar area.
