A British comfort classic, the Cottage Pie had a savoury beef mince filling and topped with a layer of buttery mashed potato that served as a crust. It was a hearty one pot dish with a depth of flavours. Though I could do without the peas. 🤣
This version of tiramisu dessert caught our attention as its descript has the words "milk stout infusion". Sadly it fell short as there was no hint of alcohol and lacked the cloudy creaminess as it was quite dense.
Coming as a big group means getting to try more dishes and the Deluxe Platter ($99 for 5-6pax) seemed like a good way to start the night. There's something for everyone as the platter offered different small bites that includes the Beef Empanadas, Padron Peppers, Naked Nachos and Baked Camembert. The Beef Empanadas were like savoury curry puffs where each bite was flavourful with a blend of textures as the stuffing was a mix of coarsely minced meat and other ingredients.
Nothing spectacular - can consider skipping the desserts!
