I would recommend to go with their original rebel, stuffed with chicken patties, creamy pate, rebel sauce, mayo, tangy Asian slaw and fresh coriander.

So enjoyable with the overflowing ingredients in the sandwich, full with the taste and texture.

The original Rebel ($7.90) is stuffed with mini chicken patties and creamy pate. And oh wow! It was love at first bite. The baguette bread that is baked in-house had a satisfying crunch while maintaining an airy interior. There was a right proportion of chunkiness and meatiness from the patties that was balanced by the refreshing and tangy slaw. The Pesky ($7.90), is a lighter version filled with breaded dory pieces that were fried to a light firm crisp. The slaw completed the banh mi by giving it a crunchy and tangy tasty zing.

The rebel gurl basically serves Banh Mi.

But there's nothing basic a out their menu, so many different variations of banh mi is available here.

Decided to have the "Hot Chick", which consist of 2 fried juicy patties, their in house "rebel" sauce, mayo , asian claw and of coz coriander.

The baguette was thin and crusty.

Not very filling though, better get some sides with it.

I got one of their vegan banh mis - the PURE ($7.90). It was good but I felt that there was an overwhelming amount of tempeh. It would have been better if there was a balance striked between the tempeh and Quorn patties!

This hidden gem has a wide range of Rebel sandwiches offering the traditional fillings and modern interpretations with trendy ingredients such as plant-based solutions. Being the first time that we are there, we decided to go with the safer options of The Original Rebel ($6.90) and The Trad ($6.90), the latter is something that you can get off the streets in Vietnam with a toasted baguette stuffed with chicken cha lua, chicken ham, pate, tangy Asian slaw, fresh coriander with a squeeze of mayonnaise and the Rebel sauce. Hearty portion with a wallet-friendly price point in Orchard is definitely something that many can consider if they do not wish to break the bank eating in that area.
