For Christmas this year, The Marmalade Pantry has got you covered with a festive spread of new meats, sides and sweets such as the Roasted Maple Bourbon Turkey and Baked Maple Ham, both essential dishes for a great feast. Want different kinds of meat? The Beef Short Ribs Bone-in, Porchetta and especially the Lemon & Dill Salmon have got you covered. Accompaying these meats are sides that you should try especially the returning Mac & Cheese. For desserts, there are sweets like the Merry Berry Cheese Log Cake and Nutty Noel Chocolate Log Cake.

Linguine in a prawn bisque sauce with seared scallops and prawns. Was hoping for a slightly saucier base, but otherwise it was a nice dish with al dente linguine. It’s a bit pricey, but you do get a good number of prawns and scallops that were cooked just right. Service was warm!

Apart from the range of hot teas by the pot, there’s also Matcha Latte for the non-coffee drinkers. It leans more milky than I like, and is quite sweet.

Available for dine-in as festive-set meals, takeaway and delivery, these treats will surely bring joy and smiles at the dining table.

🥩 Truffle Beef Burger ($26) (9.7/10)
Have you ever had a burger so impossibly good that you find yourself craving it at every mealtime and subconsciously comparing every subsequent burger you have to it? That's how I feel with this Truffle Beef Burger, that is probably the best burger I've had by far. This is partially because of my intense obsession with all things truffle. I firmly believe that truffle makes everything about 14 times better, and it helps that the truffle in this burger is the strongest out of all the truffle burgers I've ever had. Each bite has that lingering fragrance of savoury truffle, paired with stretchy, melty cheese, fluffy, buttery brioche and a super thick beef patty. The only gripe I have with this would be the patty, which was pretty dry and tough but that could be my own fault because I ordered medium well instead of medium rare (mixed them up oops). Not sure if it would be different had it been medium rare but I did not like the dryness. Fries were pretty good but quite standard, the burger is definitely the stand out here!

🍗 Spicy Sriracha Chicken Burger ($24) (9/10)
I took a bite of my friend's chicken burger and while I prefer the truffle burger I got, the chicken is really tender and crispy with a flavourful spice to it. It also comes with a side of parmesan fries which were good too, but my greedy, gluttonous self would prefer muuuuuch more parmesan.

Had the lunch sets ($28 for 2 course) here in this really posh looking cafe. The saffron risotto with scallops was really good 😍 the scallops were very wonderfully seared, and the risotto was so flavourful with the saffron added! The cured pork meat rice tasted more homely 😂 and reminds me of a more elevated version of the roast meat rice you get from hawker centres. The coffee and desserts was okay! Really wished they had more of their pastas options for their lunch sets though!

Available from 1 November 2021 as an ongoing offering, the New Marmalade Afternoon Tea Set* ($68++, for two persons) features the newly introduced Char Siew Kurobuta Pork Belly Tacos, Chilli Crab Vol Au Vent, Mini Spicy Sriracha Chicken Burger, Triple Chocolate Shooters and Taro Swiss Rolls. These are in addition to the perennial favourites like the Mini Marmalade Cupcakes as well as Plain and Raisin Buttermilk Scones.

For takeaway and delivery, the afternoon tea set receives a makeover with an elegant foldable two-tiered packaging. Specially designed by the homegrown bistro, the plaid-patterned box comes in The Marmalade Pantry’s signature colours of teal and baby pink ( don’t worry it’s doable, just follow the instructions)

Food was good as usual, we've been here many times. But special mention of the service - Johan was very accommodating of our unusual request of a half portion of truffle fries even though he stressed that it was only available on weekdays (we went on a Sunday). Thanks to him, we could satisfy our truffle fries craving without feeling guilty about wasting food.

Served on a bed of fragrant basil couscous, the Barramundi was accompanied with fresh heirloom tomato salad and braised shallots, then drizzled with basil oil. The huge slab of barramundi was fresh and simply grilled till the skin was crisp. This is a hearty and refreshing dish that’s light on the palate.
