No you can’t, you simply can’t. Not when the piping hot cookies boast crispy, golden edges, and a soft molten centre with fudgy chocolate chips speckled through.

I’ve been to Grain Store thrice now, and never left with a decent photo cause, well, this idiot left her camera in the hotel. I’ll tell you with utmost gusto though, that Grain Store serves among the best food in Melbourne — at least to me. The menu changes seasonally to feature fresh local produce, and very clearly combines traditional European cooking with contemporary Australian influences, to bring us dishes that are, what I’d call, refined country cooking. You’ve got a Mushroom French Toast for example that comes with tons of shaved pecorino, feta, pancetta, and a luscious salted toffee sauce; or a Chorizo Omelette served with local spinach, manchego, and a warm, spiced tomato salsa; or their take on the mushroom benedict featuring huge portobello mushrooms, baby spinach, gruyere potato rösti, poached eggs, and a decadent blanket of hazelnut hollandaise say whut 😮🥰

This is one of their signatures, featuring a mixed mushroom medley, parmesan custard, SCRAMBLED EGGS, and polenta crisps, with a tangy touch from the smoked tomatoes.
This is what I call a brunch done right. 😍 Hit me up if you guys require an itinerary for your trip to Melbourne! #EBxPIXEL

This egg is poached then fried! With smoke salmon. So gooood!

The rich chestnut hollandaise sauce was delicious and the eggs were poached perfectly! Very fancy version of eggs Benedict indeed! The potato rosti had strong flavours of thyme which was delicious too! The potatoes were cut slightly larger than the other rostis I've tasted though! It was slightly small portioned for $17 though... The service was fantastic and the interior was very nicely decorated! It had a more corporate feeling and it wasn't the usually hipster brunch hang out but I still liked it nonetheless!

@zeboy had Potato Rosti with portobello mushrooms. He also added crispy bacon which were very close to the awesome bacon from Station St Trading Co.
