If you like your coffee strong, this Dirty Code ($6) fits your palette just right. It came in a pretty sizeable glass, and the coffee itself was strong and aromatic. With quite heavy chocolate notes, it's almost like drinking a very rich mocha! I love how creamy and rich the whole cup was, hence an enjoyable glass to sip. Do note that it can be quite strong at the start as it's mostly the espresso shot you're drinking!
This is one popular cafe along Neil Road, so do prepare to queue abit. One cafe I would consider coming back for!
Average but price a little steep
The White was heavy medium-bodied and had a slight lingering bitter aftertaste.
A substantial hearty waffle, the Egg Pulled Beef Waffle ($18) was an ensemble of scrambled eggs and spiced pulled beef placed on a plain waffle. The portion ratio was just right. Savoury, creamy, sweet and meaty. I felt though that the waffle was pretty average. It had a light crisp, slightly fluffy but a tad dry for my liking.
I was intrigued when it was served with cajun chicken. Typical waffles would come with fried chicken. We chose original over black rice waffle and top up $1 for nian gao. The nian gao was just a thin layer in between the waffles. Still, the waffles were quite nice. The chicken was very nice and tender. I would recommend to give this a try.
