It's okayish but really not particularly good. It's somewhat firm but too smooth and not meaty

Eh, the crisp isn't particularly strong. It's obviously decent enough tho seeing it's carving board

Very thick yes but there's a very strong smell which comes up even long after you're done w the meal, unpleasant.

The seafood was very good, the bite was unique

Sauce was oily tho, it's like an oily pasta w some greens rather than a proper pesto, plus the pesto was weak

The risotto is quite decent actl w truffle taste.

The sautéed eringii was brilliant though, it's incredibly juicy and flavourful, despite the simple lemon juice seasoning. I couldn't get enough of it and can't quite figure out the secret

Must try if you're here

The exceptional yellow sauce was honey mustard according to the staff, I can't be sure since I havent had honey mustard in a while but this seems a lot less spicy and much more tangy sweet.

Nonetheless it really works

Located at what seem like a coffee shop cum restaurant, located at the foot of a HDB block at 252 Jurong East St 24.

The carving Board serves up some damn excellent Western food.

1) Pork Steak - of of their signature dishes. The Pork Loin was tender and juicy. Not dry whatsoever.

2) Mushroom Rissotto - very creamy and with some truffle taste which surprised me as I was not expecting truffle whatsoever, and was not stated in the menu. A wonderful surprise indeed. This is one of my favourite risottos I ever had.

The wait for the food was 20mins at 1740 on a sat night. their wait time is still annoying cos of the takeaways

This was a good cream based carbonara, at least as far as cream based ones go. Mushroom and bacon were not too strong, and it was pleasant overall

A masterful salad

The balsamic and lemon sauce comes tgt well, there's a lot of ingredients incl croutons and walnuts and they all enhance the dish and work tgt. Grilled ckn was delicious too

Must try, coming from someone who never approves of salads normally

Theirs is really a restaurant version, simply flavoured but still clean and deep, with a nice char and tender nonetheless.

Skin wasn't crispy but otherwise as I remembered

Their Pork Steak was quite meaty and juicy with a golden sear that added a bit of smokiness. The meat was well-marinated and mostly tender from brining, though the edges can be a little chewy due to the fat! I liked that the pickled cucumbers added a refreshing zest against the protein.

Their Battered Onion Rings was probably one of the better (no pun intended) ones I've had the past year. Crispy, lightly battered and only for $6!

Our favourite dish was the Grilled Chicken, which comes with half a bird crowned upon a heap of potato mash and sautéed French beans! The chicken was fork-tender and well-seasoned underneath the crispy skin, and went really well with their brown sauce! Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the mash - while I liked the rich buttery flavour, the texture could be denser and thicker.

Nope, cmi today

Flesh was hot but there's barely any crisp at all. I can do better

The best cream carbonara I've had.

Sauce was thick, creamy, and not jelat. Bacon was generous, well cooked, and lends a nice saltiness.

Gorgeous stuff, this is as good as it gets for cream based

Changed mash to salad

PSA this place's food is really up to standard. But to cut costs it's in a coffeeshop, and it really is very coffeeshop in every aspect, you have to scramble for seats. On a public holiday, the queue is insane, seats are hard to find, and the wait is over 30mins. Plus no reservation obviously, there's no crowd control at all. Really ruins the experience for me, so do take note to avoid peak hours, esp on PH

Ckn was well brined, marinated, and grilled as usual. Lovely stuff
