I opted for the Chicken Dum Briyani ($5) and the order comes with a sizeable portion of basmati rice, chicken thigh, onion salad, a bowl of curry and papadum. The curry and rice combination was fantastic on its own and it packs a bit of heat which was countered by the yogurt that’s mixed into the onion salad. If you are unfamiliar with dum briyani, the chicken is cooked with the rice which results in the meat being juicy and flavourful. What sets this briyani apart from other briyanis is that it’s a healthier option as the owner only uses peanut oil, not the regular ghee, and no MSG or artificial colouring were added.
