Reviews

From the Burpple community

Recently Opened at my old backyard, with a few good reviews from my mum. Decided to give it a try.

For a location so ulu, I was expecting lots of empty tables, to my surprise, it was about 75% filled.

The thai food here was reasonably priced, thus alot of single person eaters here, like me.

Had the Tom yam milk red, and really had no regrets, soup was a burst of flavours. It wasn't too spicy and the taste was just right. Fair amount of ingredients with 1 prawn and about 3-4 sotongs, a few fish slices and lots of white mushrooms.

I almost finished the entire bowl of soup too. Yums.

Skip the fried tang hoon, it wasn't very good. Was expecting phad Thai style, but turn out that it was the soy sauce type, which I am not a fan of.

[✨NEW✨] Headed over to this month-old eatery serving affordable thai fusion food in the heartlands 🇹🇭

A short walk from Clementi MRT, this standalone shop sells a variety of dishes, including...

🌟 𝗧𝗼𝗺 𝗬𝘂𝗺 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝗱 ($𝟳/$𝟭𝟮/$𝟭𝟴)
Opted for the creamy tom yum soup, with a strong coconut milk flavour. This comes with a good amount of ingredients (such as prawn, tioman fish, squid and shimeji mushroom). Wished there's straw mushrooms in this!

🌟 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗸 ($𝟭𝟮)
🌟 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲 ($𝟭𝟰)
🌟 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗸𝗲 ($𝟭𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟯𝗽𝗰)
🌟 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝘆 ($𝟰)

We visited on a weekday evening and saw a constant stream of customers. Heard that the basil pork rice is good and would try that when I revisit!

The tender pork cheeks was an unexpected find. Leans towards the fatty side and best enjoyed with the accompanying chilli🔥

Despite being a relatively new addition to the neighbourhood, they have already attracted a steady crowd of patrons. The owner stressed that their dishes are Thai-inspired, so don't go expecting authentic Thai cuisine.

🚚 Available on Grabfood and FoodPanda

Recommended by the owner, these prawn cakes are handmade in-store. Each piece is deep fried till golden and comes as a substantial amount, with soft fillings 🦐

Served with 4 prawns, this came in a portion that could easily feed 2 small eaters. The vermicelli soaked up the black pepper taste though if you prefer a heavier flavour, you'd probably want to pair this with the condiments provided! We ordered the small version ($14) but if you're sharing with bigger groups, try the large version ($18) instead.

Ended off our meal with this beautiful red and green ruby dessert. The chewy crunchy texture made this such an addictive treat! 💎

We also tried the thai milk tea & thai green tea here. The drinks are not as sweet as most other thai eateries, which is a huge plus for me 👍
