Yesterday’s lunch featured this very tasty ”Pad Mama” made magically much cheaper after we redeemed two #burpplebeyond deals for our table of four.
The fine instant noodles were fiery spicy and had a hint of tangy (some Tom Yum seasoning maybe?). We savaged the plateful in the shortest time. Too shiok it was.
I found our three other main courses decent enough. Here they are, ranked in order of my preference: garlic chicken, a frilly-crispy minced pork omelette and stirfried minced beef with basil.
Went for the popular deep fried garlic pork (ala carte, $12). My favourite main dish but portion size tends towards the smaller side. There's a rice set with garlic pork which might be more worthwhile. Green curry (chicken, $10) was ok but not a stand out. The lady helped to reduce the spiciness from 2 to 1 chilli for the som tam ($8) but it was still mouth numbingly spicy. Crispy omelette (chicken, $10) was a pleasant surprise and is worth trying if you've never had this iteration before.
Not pictured is the mango sticky rice which is bizarrely canapé style (x6 mini cups, $10) but the rice was a bit too tough.

Be warned of the garlicky breathe after having this.
Always order this each time I go for the Thai food. and this definitely makes it to my top few fav places to go for garlic fried pork.
Missing this version of thai omelette; relatively hard to find a decent one in Singapore. Sinfully good.
The rice is so soft, crispy pork even the garlic skin also crispy as well. Thumbs up! Price: $5.5
Tried yet another dish that I have yet to do so at Thai Jing Jing; essentially the glass noodle variant of Pad Thai, I actually very much prefer this version over their usual Pad Thai. The glass noodles were slurpy and chewy as they absorbed the flavours of the sauce it was cooked in very well; a little sweet and a little tangy — all very appetising. Coupled with the beansprouts, it carries a good mix of textures as one chews on the beansprouts, not forgetting the omelette on the top.
