Enjoy dining without burning a hole in your pocket, no membership required
The salmon was seared perfectly as seen from the lovely pink middle. Again, skin was cooked till crisp, and while some people might prefer it to be more cooked, there was already not even a hint of fishiness at this level of doneness.
The batter was so very light and crispy, and there was none of the usual oiliness and grease from deep fried food. Truly a case of fresh seafood doing the talking.
This was our chosen appetisers, off the Fisherman's Delights menu:
Grilled Tiger Prawns & Spicy Calamari (all of which were so fresh and juicy, especially the calamari rings which were tender and seasoned beautifully) and the Haloumi Skewer (not the biggest fan of haloumi, or cheese for that matter, but I quite enjoyed it, though it strangely tasted a little like tofu).
We also ordered a large salad ($8.50) which tasted fresh and good, and complemented our dishes very well.
According to my bro, the fish for COTD is always the same hahaha.
But this was grilled very nicely. Flakey and fresh, while retaining a good crispy skin. Drizzle some lemon juice (and vinegar!), and this is simple, good food at its best.
