our bowl amounted to $7.20. wah but this damn bomb no need sauce also nice fried to perfection meat seasoned damn well but my fav was the brinjal!

These chee cheong fun are made to order. The prawn chee cheong fun has a smooth texture with prawns and crunchy bits of shredded vegetables, served on a plate with sweet soya sauce and topped with sesame seeds. It's not common to have vegetables in prawn chee cheong fun and although it added a different texture to it, I prefer to have it plain 》$3

From a fruit stall facing outside. It's Thai coconut, but the texture was off because the stallholder initially made me a coconut juice, then realised I wanted milkshake and adapted it.

𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐞𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐞 東記雞飯 is a relatively popular chicken rice stall in Tanglin Halt Food Centre if you are a die hard chicken rice fan. Although they are at the back facing, you won’t missed them as there’s constantly a long snaking queue in front of their stall. They only sells roasted chicken and have 3 prices to choose from, $3, $4, $5. We ordered the $4 and the meat portion were pretty generous. Roasted chicken is very tender and juicy, although it looks chunky. And there’s isn’t a layer of fats underneath the chicken skin. Rice is very fragrant, not too greasy and texture is just perfect for our liking! They also give us a separate small bowl of special thick sweet sauce for dipping the chicken wow it’s so flavourful and add a different taste to it! I heard that they are usually sold out by 2pm on weekends so do plan to drop by earlier to avoid disappointment. ⠀

Pretty ok bee Hoon ( albeit a little undercooked today ) but good enough for a quick meal before I spring back to spring clean .

Although the taste of this thunder tea rice and their tea are different from the ones at Boon Lay/ Jurong West, it is still good and refreshing.

Find the additional of ikan bilis is too salty for me. Glad is crunchy but too salty😅

What’s special about this store is their pricey YONG TAU FU! Full of meat and fillings! Worth it! 🤤
