Just as good as the Holland V branch's I had many years ago, durian taste was v strong
โจOriginal Egg Tartโจ
This egg tart is my favourite of all time. The crust is the cookie kind, buttery and crumbly. Also, it is not too brittle till it spills everywhere. The egg taste is not super strong and it is also not too sweet. It is a light dessert suited for all taste buds๐ฅฐ

โจPandan Tartโจ
Honestly, I prefer this over the original flavour. It gives that sweet pandan flavour, yet not too strong, hence keeping that egg tart taste.

โจDurian and Cheese Tartโจ
Although both durian and cheese are rich flavours, it is not jelak at all. It is creamy, yet not a super strong durian taste. Hence, non-durian lovers will be able to enjoy this๐๐ป

These egg tarts are so fluffy and smooth๐ I love the crust as it is buttery and crumbly. It is quite sweet and alittle salty but overall still taste delicious ๐
๐ธ: $2 per tart
Pastry was buttery a la tai Cheong, filling was thick and this had a slight chew. It's good but not too special
We had it the next day so bolo crust was quite meh, hopefully it's good on the day itself. The char SIU was not bad tho, there's a bit of crunch from the good balance between fat and lean meat
Love every single flavour of their egg tarts! Though if i have to choose, the ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ ($2) is still the best: silky egg custard with a nice buttery crust. ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ ($2) was nice as well with a subtle, not too overpowering pandan taste. ๐๐จ๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ ($2.50) had gooey boba fillings inside the brown sugar custard, that wasnโt too sweet, and ๐๐จ๐๐จ๐ง๐ฎ๐ญ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ ($2.70) was filled 100% with coconut flakes which was a lil too coconut-ty for my liking. Personally, i think that taicheong sells the best hk egg tarts and all of them are really good!
