This eatery located at Liang Seah Street is a Modern Japanese izakaya restaurant offering savoury dishes like Salmon Ikura Don ($33), Spicy Maguro Don ($28), Unagi Tama Mentai Don ($22) which sees grilled smoke unagi tamago mentai aburi steam japanese rice. Their Saikoro Steak ($20), which consists of Wagyu beef cubes, Shimeji mushroom and their tasty home-made sauce, is also highly raved about by many patrons!

we all ordered the mentai salmon don which was pretty good! the salmon was served in a somewhat aburi style but i particularly liked the fact that it was slightly flamed on the top but still had some of the sashimi texture

they have a bunch of deals on different days for alcoholic drinks but we didn’t order any

atmosphere is very vibey

great service and ambience. got the 1 for 1 deal for the mentaiko pasta ($15+) and salmon mentaiko don ($19+). flavours were good, especially if you love mentaiko, but the portion quite small. perfect for a quick snack i suppose!

definitely a spot to visit w their quality fresh sashimi! we got the mentaiko salmon don ($19++) & spicy maguro don ($28++) & using our burpple 1-for-1, our total bill came out to be $29 for these 2 bowls post GST & service charge. would say that without burpple beyond, these bowls would be kind of overpriced because of how small they are. the spicy maguro don was really a little too spicy & the mentaiko don was too salty but also still tasty???? surprisingly, it managed to satisfy the japanese cravings in us so would we go back again? for sure, but only if there's still a 1-for-1!

Secluded place with nice ambience, food is decent, but the portion is too small for a main dish, got the 1-for-1 offer so it’s still pretty worth it! Beef cubes are tender and flavorful, will still recommend if you want an afternoon snack!
