When times are bad for the food and beverages industry and restaurants are pushed to innovate, perhaps the fun way is to play with the consumers’ minds.

Swensen’s recently launched their “Fried Chicken” Ice Cream (S$11.80) in a pint, which included two fake drumsticks made of their signature Vanilla ice cream, then heavily coated with crushed crispy cornflakes. For a more balanced flavour, a stick of rolled chocolate could be found in the handheld dessert to act as the leg bone.

Clearly, this was more of an ordinary dessert that seemed pretty amusing to have, especially when I added a serving of the strawberry sauce. Now, didn’t this look like dipping the drumstick into chilli sauce? Just imagine!

My favourite ice cream sundae, of all time.

Rich, luscious, chocolatey sweet scoops of sticky chewy chocolate ice cream, coated in thick chocolate fudge sauce, topped with airy whipped cream, chocolate coated cherry, chocolate chips, and a half chocolate coated biscuit wafer.

This American Southern classic features 3 medium large, fried chicken parts - chicken wing, chicken thigh, and chicken breast.
.
The chicken is coated in a crisp, golden brown batter, with a light savoury salty flavour. Cut in, and you get the juicy, tender chicken meat, having a delicate sweet savoury flavour. The small amount of chicken fat is easily removed.

Served with a side of fresh, crunchy, vegetal sweet coleslaw of cabbage, carrots, and pineapple; as well as piping hot medium thick shoestring fries. Super filling.
