Visually marbled, but the less fatty of the two beef cuts here. It's basically cheap beef and lacked flavour.
The best cut here. If you don't love fatty beef you're wrong.
Why do I love shabu but dislike steamboat and mookata? Because I dislike cooking and in shabu that's kept to a minimum. For our soup bases, sukiyaki was a no-brainer. Tonyu miso is a winter option combining miso and soy milk. It's richer than sukiyaki, but both were delicious. Given the price point, ingredients here are obviously lower tier, but I do appreciate the chicken cheese balls!
A satisfying lunch gathering with the boys in my platoon. The meat was amazingly fresh even though they were frozen, and we were spoiled for choice when it came to the open sides and veg bar. But the show stopper was the pleasantly sweet and salty sukiyaki broth, which turned everything into amazing bites of deliciousness. Also, I would like to give the Kovan outlet manager, Joseph, 2 massive thumbs up as he helped me in negotiating a massive 20% discount off the total bill as I messed up with another promotional package earlier on. (Note to self: always read the fine print first.) Nonetheless, it was a good lunch with great service.
I didn't think too much about this Ramen until I have tasted it!
Kinda worth it buffet for 17.90++ and second diners at $11.90... with free flow of beef, pork and beef and etc vegetables, mushrooms, tofus and balls.
