Interesting to have curry as soup. Spicy level customisable. Chicken satay served with rice, assorted vegetables like potato, carrots, pumpkin, eggplant and hard boiled egg.

A specialty of Hokkaido, I was first introduced to this dish during my last trip to Sapporo, Hokkaido earlier this year. It did not disappoint and in fact is one of my favorite dish in Hokkaido 🇯🇵 it was so scrumptious that I really loved it especially eaten during winter - I’ll leave it for another post.

The soup curry here is pretty inconsistent, went twice, once was good while the recent trip was not quite. The soup curry here was pretty watered down and lacks the oomph. Also, the lamb came in chunks which indicated that they were not fully thawed before cooking. Price wise, it had also increased such that the price is in line with their most recent outlet at Jewel Changi.

Price: $15.80
👍🏻👍🏻

Hokkaido curry - Opted for the chicken one, came with roasted vegetables and egg. Curry sauce is rather savoury, and goes well with the rice.

Tasty curry from suage. Assorted vegetables were grilled and soaked in the curry. Squeeze the lemon juice onto the Japanese rice to enhance its flavour before eating!

Price:$13.80

They served Japanese curry set with rice in different meat ingredients. I chosen one of their chef recommendation that come with stewed pork belly. beside the meat, every bowls also come with assorted vegetables.

You get to choose spicy level from 1 to 10. I went for level 3, which was recommended by the chef but it just doesn’t taste any spicy at all. Perhaps if you looking for some challenge you should go for higher level. $13.80++

According to the waitress suage means deep fried, which is how all the veggies are prepared before being served with the curry.
The curry itself was nothing out of the ordinary, with it being on the lighter side and bulked up by caramelised onions. The meats however, are what's worth going for. The chicken leg was fried nicely to a light crisp while still being tender inside. On the other hand, lamb was smoky and reasonably tender despite being very lean. Lastly, though the muscle of the kakuni was slightly tough, the luscious marbling made it moist and passably tender. Really value for money add-ons which made the other elements(10bux for curry plus veggies) seem expensive in comparison
