Enjoy dining without burning a hole in your pocket, no membership required
Surprisingly refreshing dish from the usual indian food found in tekka centre. Can taste that it is very different from the usual off-the-shelf canned tomato pasta sauce, spotted some herbs and veggies inside the sauce. There's ham and mushroom inside too, so you don't feel like you're just eating pasta and sauce. For $5.50, this is pretty worth it, i got a huge portion. If not, can always top up $ to add a piece of chicken chop.
From a stall named Street Food at Tekka Centre occupying #01-303 which serves hawker-style western food including pasta. This comes with a choice of either mushroom sauce or black pepper sauce; whichever is to your fancy. Flavour-wise, this hits right on the spot; very juicy, very succulent and flavourful by its own juices; would really have been perfect if there is some skin for that chargrilled crispness. Mushroom sauce was decent; like a starchy variant of cream of mushroom though I would really have preferred the chicken to come plain (purist here though). Fries were pretty fine; well salted while the coleslaw came chilled just the way I like it. Overall not a bad option in the food centre.
