Salmon overloaded. Not only are they popular for their thick cuts of salmon sashimi, but their rolls were also pretty good too! Getting their rolls for half the usual price every (roll with us) Wednesday is a steal.
The rockstar roll combines seared salmon draped over fried cheddar and generously topped with torched mentaiko sauce. While the cheese and mentaiko stood out in this roll, the salmon was also nicely seared. This would be good for sharing as the rich and creamy flavour may get a little jelak to finish alone.
The other roll I tried was all salmon all the time that has salmon sashimi, cucumber and avocado covered with seared salmon and tobiko and drizzled with yuzu mayo.

It's absolute madness on every Monday and Thursday at SSB for their popular and best value-for-money salmon madness promotion going at $3.90 for 5 slices of salmon sashimi.
I ordered 5 portions at one go and it was all served together on a plate. The salmon was really fresh, chunky and thick even though it was on promotion. Besides salmon sashimi, some of their alcoholic drinks are on promotion too. It's best to go early to avoid standing in the queue.
》Salmon Madness every Monday & Thursday
》$3.90 for 5 Slices of Salmon Sashimi
》$2 Sake, $5 Beer, Wine, Hot Sake and Umeshu
5 slices of sashimi at $3.90, enough said. Fresh and thick-cut slices of sashimi, a must-try for fans of salmon and promotions.
On Wednesdays, they have 50% off their sushi rolls which is a steal! I always get the rockstar roll which is salmon mentai sushi with fried cheese in the centre. Salmon was fresh and soft, topped with mentaiko then torched for the charred fragrance! The mentaiko was creamy and rich and flavourful and went well with the salmon. The fried cheese was probably cheddar as it was savory and cheesy. I enjoyed the combination of flavors for this sushi roll very much as it had all my favourites.
