Delish! Bread is crunchy and toasty, panko crust on tonkatsu is crunchy and not too thick. Tonkatsu is lean and reasonably thicc/meaty, could be more tender but still decent - I ate it the day after, and reheated it. The sauce is quite standard, savoury and delish, with some shredded lettuce.

Exciting bakery with many attractive bakes. This is easy to like.

I've had many coffee buns from many bakeries, but none hold a flame when compared to the one sold by Four Leaves and it's associated branches (St. Leaven). I used to buy this almost every day after school when I was in primary school (yeah I'm not the healthiest person :p) and close to 10 years later, the quality of these coffee buns are still top notch.

The coffee in this bun is EXTREMELY FRAGRANT. Many other buns kinda just have a one dimensional coffee taste, but the fragrance of this bun is unbelievable!! The cookie is crispy, sweet, buttery and of course, has a strong coffee aroma. The bread also has the same aroma, being somewhere between soft and chewy, and a buttery, very slightly salty taste is spread evenly across the whole bun. ☕

So far, no other coffee bun has come close to dethroning Four Leaves', and everytime I try this bun, I'm just blown away all over again. It is slightly pricey for it's small size but it's suuuuuper quality stuff 😋

Yes, the bread that famously copied Donq's famous matcha bun... Yet I still decided to get it lmao. These buns are definitely super eye-catching and I was expecting them to sell out the way that Donq's do, but there were trays and trays full of these buns so you don't need to worry about not being able to secure one.

Most people that I've seen seem to like Donq's matcha bun way more than this, but I actually like this one more :p the matcha crumbles basically tasted the same, being sweet yet dusted with bitter matcha powder. Donq has chewier bread while this bun had a softer, more typical bread texture (which I actually personally preferred). The filling is slightly sweeter with a less pronounced matcha flavour, and there's a higher proportion of chocolate as compared to Donq, that has about a teaspoon of chocolate 😗

I'd choose to buy this bun over Donq's, though I feel kinda bad for it since it's a copycat and I don't like when people steal ideas :( but yeah generally a great bread!

The kaya taste was not distinct, it was very faint cuz it was just a small layer under the yellow stuff (yes I'm gonna call it yellow stuff cuz I'm still not 100% sure that it's cream cheese). The cookie on top was nice, but not the most fragrant polo cookie I've tried. As for the yellow stuff that I initially thought was butter, it definitely didn't have a strong cheese taste given how I completely forgot that there's supposed to be cheese inside while I was eating it, but it did taste very slightly sour. Hence it was probably cream cheese lmao.

Overall it didn't taste bad and the yellow stuff with the kaya was pretty alright. Compared to the coffee polo, this one definitely pales in comparison since it's much less fragrant. Not bad though, there's a chance that I may try this again.

The bun itself not that nice, it's quite sticky in a floury way, as if it's not baked fully. Idk if it's a mistake or if this is the norm

But the matcha cream was nicely bitter, and balanced out with chocolate chips.

A mess to eat tho, be careful. The matcha powder is also a choke hazard
