Really love to come to this place to takeaway for lunch. Lotus Soup is $5.50 and Pumpkin rice is $2. Soup is really rich and flavourful. They are generous with the soup serving and peanuts. Can be more generous with the lotus bits too!! Pumpkin rice is also nice and not too sticky. This is perfect for a rainy weather or days where you just want some comfort food.

All the foods here are so homey - the pumpkin rice, the lotus root soup ($6.5), and the dishes. The pumpkin rice is moist and tasty. It may not look instagrammable, but is something you’re looking for on rainy days or after a long day of work.

πŸ’°: Curry Chicken + Wintermelon Soup with Special Fishball (about $10)
πŸ•š: 1115am / no queue
πŸš‡: Tanjong Pagar MRT Station β€’ 10min walk
πŸ“: 2 Stanley Street

Not an easy-to-locate food place. Ask me if it's worth the walk and the price and I'd say if you're sick of Amoy and Maxwell, you can give this place a try.

It's a little warm and this stall mainly sells hot soups πŸ˜‚

The soup of that day was really quite tasty and RICH.
Oh, they have different soups on different days. The big fishball as can be seen on top right of the photo contained some ingredients which tasted like fish eggs, except that it's brownish instead of orangish.

We tried its curry chicken too, not too oily and flavour was RICH. Didn't try the pumpkin rice which seems quite well known.

Walked past so many times and finally I got to try the pumpkin and yam rice ($2)!!!! I liked it, it was the right amount of stickiness without being mushy, and there were chunks of pumpkin, chicken. It went really well with the soup I ordered ($6) - it might seem a little on the oily side but anyway it was so tasty I drank it all up, and they were so generous with the ingredients (black fungus, juicy mushrooms!!, chicken)

Another good find imo. $5 for a large bowl of tasty full-bodied soup (plenty of peanuts that I got tired of eating though) no idea why I ordered this on a hot day but at least it's quite cooling and easy to find seats in here unlike hawker centres - and this is some good comfort food! The soup here is apparently cooked for 6h straight and fresh because they do not reboil. Had wanted the $2 pumpkin rice but they were out of it booooo I hate 1pm lunch.
