Chicken was tender and juicy! The ginger sauce was tasty and not too much on ginger taste. It was a hit with kids and had to order a second plate for our family of 4. Lettuce complements the ginger sauce and chicken.

This was yummy as usual! Tender chicken served with the delicious savoury sweet ginger sauce plus fresh lettuce. I’ve never not had this when I’m at soup restaurant. We love the ginger sauce so much that we get 2nd helpings of the sauce. It’s good on rice as well! Once, we asked for a third plate and fyi they start charging for the third plate onwards 😂

Got this as part of a chope voucher, but ala carte it’s $8.90! The sweet and sour pork is not bad, it’s a bit crunchy and meaty, quite lean but not dry which I liked, bc I didn’t have to throw out any fats. It’s not as tender as putien’s version, this doesn’t slice through as easily but it’s by no means tough. Q satisfying to me as it was very familiar tasting. Egg fried rice was slightly smoky, longer grains of rice are used compared to dintaifung. Reminded me of the standard zichar / Chinese restaurant fried rice. It’s nice and I enjoyed it, but don’t come expecting any wokhei bomb or mindblowing fried rice!

Our very first time dining at Soup Restaurant and we’re eyeing the signature Samsui Ginger Chicken which was so good!!🤤You could have it 3 ways- on it’s own which was tender and moist, slather it with loads of ginger sauce or wrap the chicken in the lettuce and add a good heap of ginger sauce on top, absolutely love it😍😍 The other dishes that we’ve had were also done really well, a super comforting and delicious meal

I was hoping to try something new aside the poached chicken and boiled soups which we often have at the soup restaurant.

I must say that I was surprised at how tasty the stir fried mee Suah was. Full of wok hei and filled with lots of juicy chicken pieces , bean sprouts and some prawns , this dish surpassed my expectations. The best part of this dish is that it wasn’t oily and neither overly seasoned . It was sufficiently moist ( from the eggs ) and tasty .

For most times, we get to see stir fried bee hoon but less of mee Suah so this was a pretty interesting dish for me .

I have loved this for many years. Amazing with rice. Little bits of sea cucumber gave it extra oomph. I always wait for hubby to take his share, then dump my rice into the clay pot to mix it up. Pure pleasure.
