Finally trying the food here out. Didn’t expect much because I’ve never had good experiences with Thai food from Hawker centres. So I was pretty shook by this phad thai. It’s better than some of the restaurant in sg (and I dare say some places in Thailand even). I’d crave this.
Ordered Grab Food. Not a fan of styrofoam box. The fried rice was on the hard side. Spicy but Tom Yum sour taste was not strong. Add lime juice for extra fresh citrus flavor. Liked the fresh crunchy onion slices. There were cooked onion slices inside too. 2 small prawns and 2 slices of sotong.
The perfect combination of fried egg comes together with chicken meat and vegetarian. For only $4.50, definitely satisfied my craving for some good fried egg.
Had the basil chicken rice ($4.5), fried kangkung ($3.5), white tomyum ($5) and pad thai ($4.5)!
Basil chicken was done just right with the right amount of chillies and gravy to go with the rice. White tomyum was a bit too sour for my liking.
Funny story: while we were halfway digging in, the store owner came running to our table with a small bowl of fish slices because she forgot to put them in!
Good place for a cheap thai fix!
Phad Thai - Rice noodles are stir-fried with generous amounts of eggs and chopped tofu. Cat’s assistant controlled the fire and timing really well as the noodles were slightly moist, with a strong eggy flavour.
