Started by a young next generation hawker, who apprenticed himself under a chicken rice master for a month to learn the basic; then proceeded to innovate and improve the skill he learned.

I do enjoy the chicken meat, smooth and soft. For the individual set, it comes with the vegetable, soup and rice. Braised egg is a addon order not included in the set.

I was a bit disappointed with the vegetable as it was served cold, it would taste better if it is served warm.

PRICE: $4.80 nett each for roast chicken rice and steamed chicken rice

WAITING TIME: Gave up waiting at Menya Kanae on opening day so we came here and got served our food in 5 mins flat

REMARKS:
- Air-conditioned space yet that they don't charge GST and service charge 👍👍👍
- Rice is fragrant
- Like the chilli sauce and ginger sauce
- Big portions of chicken
- Roasted chicken has really nice crispy flavourful skin
- Tender chicken meat; not tough, nor dry
- Felt safe here cos they did check for Safeentry proof and scan every person's temp 👍👍👍

The chicken was pretty dang good, smooth and meaty. Very very satisfying bite. Exceptional sauce with a delicate complexity made by cooking down soya sauce. Everything is in harmony and boosts each other, incl the soup which isn't too thick but hides a lot of flavour too. Be sure to have everything together, the staff said they use high quality ingredients and I think it really shows.

The chili was q punchy, w a strong garlic kick. V well rounded. The ginger was balanced too, without too much bite and has a bit of the soup restaurant vibes.
