I've just landed, and I'm very thankful for the excellent service and meal options onboard @singaporeair's A380 Suite Class that made the very long flight from Singapore to New York very enjoyable.

I've flown from Singapore to New York on all 4 cabin classes - Economy, Premium Economy, Business and Suites. And First/Suites Class vs Business Class aren't just about larger seats and a larger TV. It is in many ways a more luxurious, and definitely more indulgent way to fly.
πŸ”Έ
It'll take some time for me to save enough money or miles to do First/Suites again, but in the meantime I'm already very happy doing Business on SQ.

Lobster thermistor, nasi lemak and even a kaiseki meal is all entirely possible when you're somewhere up in the sky.

These creations are inspired by their International Culinary Panel, and us offered in their Suites, First Class and Business Class. Because we took a morning flight, the choices were rather limited πŸ˜” so we only had the Grilled Angus Burger and Fish Congee. The burger patty was slightly too dry, but I did like the fish congee. It was light and refreshing and it was pure comfort food 30000 feet up in the air.

I'm back in Singapore, and will be sharing about my meals in Japan soon.

The food on the plane was outstanding as well. Even for an ice cream, it came in a nice bowl, with chocolate chips on them. These little touches elevated the dining experience, even though it don't get any higher literally.

Eating Japanese-styled beef even before landing in Japan for my holiday. And this is onboard our national carrier, our pride, @singaporeair.

I reserved the Chargrilled Soya steak before boarding, and it also came with shimeiji mushroom rice, and vegetables simmered in mirin. This dish is designed by Singapore Airlines International Culinary Panel Chef Yoshihiro Murata.

I'm now all ready for more Japanese food on land too!

I'm about to board my flight on SQ1 back to Singapore, and this plate I had on my flight from Singapore to New York made me look forward to the meals on the plane later. It's unimaginable that at 10,000 meters in the air, I had alpine cuisine with herbs and fresh seasonal spring ingredients of asparagus.

The delectable milky mozzarella was garnished with herby vene cress and lifted by wild garlic vinaigrette. But what changed the game was the crispy crumbs sumac sprinkled throughout the dish that made every bite so addictive.

This is created by Michelin-starred Chef Johann Lafer, one of the many famous chefs behind @singaporeair's inflight menu.

I've two days to rest in this city before my meeting starts on Wednesday. Let's see what city has to offer!

Pictured: @singaporeair's business class meal, which started with smoked duck as the appetizer. There were a lot more alcohol choices here, and I chose umeshu to start my meal with.
