Couldn’t leave without getting some skinless brown toast, perfect for recreating the kaya toast experience at home. Soft, fluffy, good for steamed bread or crisp toast!

Enjoyed this! A classic, old school bun that satisfies. The dough has a slightly sweetish flavour. Texture-wise its soft, its fluffy but in a way that is more chewy than fluffy, I’m not sure how best to describe it.

The red bean filling is goood - it’s sweet but not v sweet, in purée form like a doushabao filling!! You have to really love bread, eat half at a time, or share this, the bread part is a lot and p chewy.

The bread is huge. And super soft.

U can order the entire loaf. U can arrange the store to give u kaya or peanut butter spread.

This is a very old school bakery shop at Whampoa that you shouldn’t miss out getting some of their bread back home.

There’s lots of choice for their bread items and I gotten myself the red bean filling and totally love it.

The bread was so soft with generous fillings inside and it only cost me $2. Definitely worth it!

This bakery runs round the clock with bread done from scratch to maintain its quality. The bread here is freshly made with no preservatives. Other than supplying bread to retail chains, they also have loaves, baguette and buns for sale.

We got their traditional white and brown bread that cost between $1.60 - $1.70 but we chose to top up and have them spread with margarine. kaya or peanut butter. The bread here is airy soft & fluffy and the combination of kaya and peanut butter is my favourite. Although it can get a little sweet, I still loaf it compared to some of those where their bread is dry and makes me not want to take any more bites.

White Bread 》$3.10 with spread
Brown Bread 》$3.20 with spread

Back at my favourite old-school Sing Hon Loon Bakery for some buns! This time round, I laid my hands on the red bean buns ($1.90 for a pack of 6). 😊

Besides the filling, the top layer of the bun is my favourite part! ❤ Toasted to a perfect brown, it releases an alluring fragrance, with added aroma from the sprinkle of white sesame on top. 🤤 The bread is slightly more dense than usual but still sufficiently soft. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Liked that it is quite substantial & will definitely fill you up, unlike the airy kind from some bread chains where u hardly feel anything in your stomach after eating 1 bread. 😅

The taste of the red bean filling is pretty nostalgic - nothing fanciful nor exquisite but yet evokes a sense of familiarity & agreement to my tastebuds. Sweet but goes so well with the plain bun! 😋😋😋
.
Definitely the kind of bread that I would go for! 💕
