Featured is Tokyo Sushi Ten.
The dinner omakase is priced at ¥7000 (SGD$83.40) while the lunch set is offered at ¥3500 (SGD$41.70). There is also a simpler breakfast Omakase at 1500yen (SGD$17.90), At first I thought I heard wrongly (plus there is no menu), as sushi meals are typically expensive in Tokyo.

Each slice is cut generously and served in three different fat levels. Brought in daily from Tsukiji market. Any tuna specialty places in sg?

This tasted even better than the triple matcha-kinako-vanilla soft serve posted yesterday despite it coming from a shop that sells tea leaves from all over Japan + coffee+ seaweed. You can even fill up your mineral bottle with their ice green tea with just a small charge.

randomly find one Izakaya bar for late dinner in the busy Shinjuku district. (my photos are out of focus 😫)

Cheapest meal in Japan yet with this Yasai tempura udon, the stall’s signature and only at S$5 for a generous portion of vegetable tempura in a broth full of light sweetness. Very crispy light tempura batter which is not greasy in the least.

A hidden gem we chanced upon while traveling the streets for another destination. The eating experience was slightly sad though not by fault of the eatery - the limited open-concept bar-front space accommodates only about 8. And since we wanted to share yet were too embarrassed to take up another seat, we took turns to eat while the other stood by the luggage. Not that we stuck out, since the stall is basically out right out on the street. Fun part - you get to watch the old chef and his team whip up a quick bowl of fresh piping hot udon in front of your eyes.
