Salmon is one of my favourites, thus, this meal excites me! And teriyaki is my first choice whenever I am in a Japanese restaurant, basically because of the mixture of flavours of soy sauce and sugar. It was a filling and satisfying meal considering that their Wazen meal includes rice, Japanese cabbage salad, miso soup and takuan (pickled radish). 😱 The presentation alone made me full right away! 😄
Ohh, I like the earth-toned mood of the place. Humble, comfortable and peaceful -- the general qualities of Japanese restaurants that captivate the heart of the many. 💕
PS They have 20% off in their a la carte menu. 😜

I was craving for some cold Japanese tofu and I think this satisfied my cravings just fine. The tofu was a little dense but still smooth overall (and it's quite reasonable in quality given this is a rather casual Japanese eatery). The sauce gave it an ample amount of saltiness while I have always been intrigued by how spring onions seemed to be this tasty whenever had with cold Japanese tofu. Not too bad for a side, but given the portion of the Dons I would say skip this just for the fact that the Dons were simply too huge.

From Shin-Do Japanese Casual Dining at Century Square, opened for less than a week. Quite a generous bowl for $13.90 which I couldn't finish the rice; the bowl is filled to the brim with thick cuts of fried chicken and egg (the same way an Oyako Don would be prepared) with rice underneath. Overall, it's a rather comforting dish especially with decently crisp fried chicken, but it seemed to tip the scale of saltiness overall (which I also thought was one of the contributing factors on why I couldn't finish it ultimately). They do have other things on the menu, such as Curry Rice, Unagi Don, Yakiniku Gyu Don, a small selection of sashimi and sushi, Udon and Ramen on the menu as well, and a Big Bento Lunch Menu runs during weekday lunch hours for $10.90 which seems pretty value for money.

Thought was change of shop when discover the signboard was changed. The ramen was still the same but lesser variety. But now they serve rice and curry as well. We ate the buddy set at sgd39.90. Worth it but not to say extraordinary
