From the Burpple community

croissant is not bad
scrambled egg nicely done
but it was sliced cheese that did not even melt fully

salad is salted so it's a lil weird for me

bandung latte (cold) is really good

One of the worst baked rices i have ever eaten. Bits of minced chicken with broccoli mixed in with rice lacking flavour. The only thing going for it was the thick layer of cheese on top which became unappetizing after it hardened. Would not pay $16.90 for this. Staff were also unfriendly when we changed our orders at the point of ordering.

Ordered from the burpple menu. The pie consists of one layer of minced chicken and one layer of potato on top. There's abit of brocoli and carrots mixed in it. The flavours were ok but might get a bit jelat at the end. Abit disappointed with the variety of board games available. Quite a lot of their games were old in terms of its wear and tear.

Feeling bored at home or finding activities to do with friends or for date nights?

Check out @settlerscafe opened by Moscano Enchanted cafe @enchantedcafe , which is open 24 hours a day for board gaming!

They have a large variety of games to choose from for gaming!

Their gaming packages are at $7/ hour, or for $20 for 4 hours. (Each pax must order at least 1 food or drink.) They also have private rooms available for booking for cosy gatherings.

In case you are wondering if there are enough games for 2-players, yes there are! Featured here are some of the games we played/spotted (which is suitable for 2 pax):
-Dr Eureka: Recently discovered this game, and it has been my favourite!
-Patchworks: Our must play board game!
-Ticket to Ride: We love this game too! Although as a 2 player game it is less challenging
-Hey, that's my fish: New game we discovered that is super duper fun and very easy to learn!
-Kopi King: Unique Singapore Style Drinks card game!
-Code Names: Suitable for 2 pax too!
-Ice Cool: To test your dexterity

Other games we loved and spotted in the shelves (but did not play as we already have the cards at home): Splendour, Sushi Go and Exploding Kittens! ✨

Be sure to reserve online to avoid disappointment!

Besides having a large variety of games to choose from for gaming (refer to my next post for more details on their gaming packages), they also have a very extensive food menu, ranging from brunch, to western menu items like pasta, to korean dishes, sides, waffles and ice cream, cakes and drinks!

Featured here are the following food items

-Croissant with Crabmeat mayo stuffing ($14.90): Croissant was buttery crispy, and the crabmeat mayo was soo delicious!

-Crabmeat Spicy linguine ($19.90): This was not too spicy for us, and the linguine portion was huge! Lots of crabmeat given too!

-Korean Chicken Bites ($11.90): Spicy chicken bites that is super addictive!

-Berry Bliss Bowl ($14.90): This acai bowl comes with mixed berries, bananas, almond milk, and topped with homemade almond butter, strawberries , muesli, pumpkin seeds and chopped almonds! Super healthy bowl for health conscious individuals!

-Matcha Cold Brew ($6.90): They have caffeine and non-caffeine version to choose from!

-Pixie Dust Cold Brew ($6.90): Refreshing rooibos tea that is infused with orange peel, sakura leaves, rose and lavender!

Huge portion, but ultimately nothing to shout about. Would be good with some sauce to bind everything together, something like perhaps a sweet jam to contrast the heaviness of the eggs and cheese and bacon.

Redeemed the 1 for 1 gaming package and do note that it - understandably - applies to the usual price of $7/h ($73.44 total for 4 pax w/gst, no SVC). Felt the board games quality could be better as the ones we played felt like hand-me-downs from family to family. Wouldn't point this out normally but the quality interfered with our enjoyment of the game to some extent. Variety of games available was also little as compared to Minds Cafe. Personally, would prefer Minds Cafe for its location, variety, price, and free flow snacks/drinks.
