We booked a table next to the water. Unfortunately in the evenings, the tide is out so the view was not so fantastic. However there was no funky smell coming from the exposed mangrove next to us to spoil our evening. With a cool breeze and setting sun, a picturesque environment for an evening dinner. Speaking of dinner, the grilled tiger prawns were tasty and sweet. The BBQ ribs were also very nicely done with tender meat coming off the bones easily. Both dishes came with grilled pineapples which is interesting although the quality of the pineapples were only so so being very fibrous. Still it goes well with the prawn and the ribs.

Definitely coming back for lunch next time when the tide is up.

This platter had stuffed squid, lamb rack, kurobuta pork collar, garlic butter king prawns, roast chicken and pork bratwurst. The squid was better than expected, the lamb and pork hit the notes, while the chicken's honey glaze was shiok. Although sausages are sausages, they were gigantic.

One of the worst I've encountered, especially given the price point here. It's just random bread toasted and applied minimal garlic.

This platter had ribeye steak, lamb rack, kurobuta pork collar, roast chicken and pork bratwurst. I gotta say everything was good. The beef, lamb and pork all hit the notes, while the chicken's honey glaze was shiok. Although sausages are sausages, they were gigantic.

Japanese Scramblette Katsu Rice - $16.90
·
Scrambled eggs envelopes the monotonous ketchup fried rice, paired with demiglazed sauce. The scrambled egg was kinda meh, shouldn’t have been selected as a recommendation item on the menu, there’s even raw egg white in my plate which I feel is unacceptable. The only thing I like was the chicken katsu, which taste like what a canteen snack store will sell, that’s the only saving grace

Though this is not the first time I come across a Mac N Cheese “bun” beef burger, this one that is served at Sea Scent at Keppel Club still had some appeal to me. At S$18.90, I find that the burger was hearty and really filling, with a pretty generous portion of curly fries and some greens by the side. However, for some reason I felt really “gelak” after chowing down the Mac N’ Cheese patty, perhaps because it is still a bit too oily for me? The amount of cheese within was also not that gooey after all, but the product made the macaroni a little more chewy, which was a texture that I somewhat enjoy.

With adjacent views of the swimming pool and the sea, Sea Scent at Keppel Club is probably one of those places to chill and have a quiet time. It would probably be relaxing if they had not charged parking fees; sadly, the rates can be a little atrocious.
