Tagliatelle Al Granchio ($30) Blue Swimmer Crab | Sambal Romesco Sauce This was a dish that ultimately failed to impress us. For starters, the tagliatelle was less firm than what we expected, and also different from the Aglio Olio spaghetti. The sauce was reminscent of chilli crab sauce, albeit much less on the sweetness, but it didn't illicit any feelings of 'wow' or even an 'ooh'. Felt that the crabbiness of the dish was also muted. All in all, would not recommend this dish.

Spicy Prawn Aglio Olio ($26) Tiger Prawns | Garlic | Capsicum | Asparagus | Sun Dried Tomstoes Don't expect the classic rendition of Aglio Olio and its associated taste here; the version here is heavy on Malayan influences infused by the spices added, together with a medley of capsicum and asparagus adding a nice crunch and freshness to the dish. However, the prawns were the main star of the show - 5 plump and juicy prawns which had a firm bite to them and really made this a standout. Also appreciated that the spice level could be customised when ordering.

Sweet Treats I left the desserts to the sweet treat experts. Espoir has a standard dessert menu, but they also have rotational specials on display (which the experts were eyeing 😉)... My favourites were the entremets. I loved how soft & moist they were - enjoyable textures on the whole, & harmonious flavours that weren't too sweet (I don't have a sweet tooth). & Nice way to wrap up the meal! Mini Banger and Mash ($12) Halal Rooftop “Bar” on the 7th floor of Bugis+, didn’t know about this location until recently. But they seem really popular within the Muslim community as the place was pretty pack on the Friday night.

fling's noodles and beef tomyum pasta and mushroom soup nice pasta as usual, quite crowded on at sunday lunch but could get seats immediately. food came fast and felt like the fling's noodles sauce was creamier 👍 worth it with the burpple beyond 1 for 1

Tom Yum Noodle ($9.90) Sorry I was too hungry and started eating before I took this photo :P Actually not too bad a bowl of Tom Yum noodles - soup was savoury and a little spicy, and the noodles were chewy. They were quite generous with the seafood, there were a few chunks of fish and also 3 prawns. We also got the Gula Melaka Milk Tea with Pearls ($4.80), which was pretty average, some pearls were a bit hard on the inside. Overall not too bad, wouldn’t pay full price for this but it’s alright with the 1-for-1 Burpple deal. They are very flexible with the options applicable for the Burpple deal - the staff literally told me “everything also can”, which is a great plus point! Probably not for fussy eaters but as long as you don’t expect some amazing restaurant quality food here, I honestly think it’s a pretty okay option to just grab something casual, sit down and chat with friends with no pressure of dining time limits and such. We visited on a weekday night and it wasn’t too busy, didn’t have to wait too long to get our food either.

Set Meal I kinda disappointed that set meal for $9.90 ++ for serving was quite small tbh 🥲 but then the pancake was strong eggy taste (a bit plain) but adding sweet maple sauce still made up. I really like their bacon and egg being so good except canned bean is too much sweet for me. Overall, I did suggested for ordering their pancake instead of pasta tbh. As the pasta under set meal for $9.90+++ was really plain without ingredients inside. I don't really recommended to order it as you required to top up for their ingredients.

Soup of the day + Drink I order lunch set meal ($9.90) as I felt that the soup of the day (pumpkin w carrots) was not that nice and too much salty taste 🥺 + Drink (green tea) was also taste quite artifical and too sweet taste alr 🥲

Chocolate chip pancakes with vanilla ice cream It was so lovely n fragrant, warm n fluffy freshly made pancakes!

Brow Butter Waffle W/ Salted Caramel 9/10 Very good atmosphere, lots of plants , various special flavours for macaroons, good services 😀

Pistachio Macaron ($2.50) Sadly I didn't really taste much pistachio at all , so was kinda disappointed but I heard good reviews about their macarons so they prob have way better flavours that might be worth a try! Just come for the Cookie Mak and I'd prob be interested to try their other macaron flavours/ bakes next time considering there's Burpple 1-1 now!

Cookie Mak ($11) Located at City Gate Mall, near Golden Mile Food Centre & Complex, this HBB turned phsycial store sells a good variety of bakes that's really tempting to the eyes 🤤! Cookie Mak ($11) This is a super sinful fudgey choc cookie that's made with Choc chips, honeycomb, and maltesers as fillings. The Choc fudge in the middle was really thick and slightly bitter I q enjoyed it. However, you got to share it because it's huge and would prob get jelak if you have it by yourself or even between just 2 pax 🤭.

Kimchi Jjigae Ramyeon ($11.50) I opt out for korean ramyeon as noodle, slice of cheese and less spicy for kimchi Jjigae. I don't really take too much spicy for food also and also preferred less spicy as possible. But I felt that their ingredients really full of different types of mushroom and rice cake.

Lots of variety We were spoilt with choices as their menu offers a wide variety. I will return to try more!

Black Sesame Cheesecake It's quite strong taste for black sesame cake but it's quite creamy and milky taste for cheesecake at same time.

Matcha latte is half full Not sure if this is the standard for a matcha latte.. but content aside.. it is too sweet

Sea perch, fish & chips, fried rice chicken floss, scallop pasta, ribeye Scallops were big & nice. Managed to change to all prawns for the fried rice chicken floss as we don’t eat mussels & squid. Fish & chips were so so prolly due to the fish they used.

Impeccable Service and good food portions Got the following dishes and they were all quite nice!! ✨ Ribeye ✨ Scallop Pasta ✨ Smoked Duck Breast ✨ Sea Perch Loved the duck breast and sea perch the most - duck is flavourful and sea perch is juicy. We all love the mash and brocollini too! Ribeye is half raw and half overcooked even though we asked for medium, but still worth the price! Drinks are also nice, albeit some slightly sweet. Best point was the impeccable service from the black specs uncle who lent me a powerbank and was meticulous with his service
