Vegetarian Restaurant In The Industrial Area! If you ever find yourself in the Kaki Bukit industrial area, you’ll be surprised to know that there’s a vegetarian restaurant there! This is the Ipoh hor fun which comes at the special price of $4.50 during lunch hours. I added egg for 50 cents. The warm soymilk ($2.60) was comforting and I was glad that it came without any sugar. There are lots of local dishes including nasi lemak which I was also tempted to try. Maybe next time?

in case you don't know, @alstern_asian_cuisine also comes with a beer garden! The best pairing would be the Crispy Pork Belly, 脆口花腩 ($15). The thinly sliced pork belly was fried to golden perfection and the addiction kicks in as if you are munching away your potato chips during movies, sinfully blissful. The non-oily and crunchy texture was definitely a bonus to the well-marinated pork crackling.

A new coffee house is found in the industrial area in Kaki Bukit with about 10 stalls offering Asian cuisine from Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, China and India! We had the Sweet and Spicy Crab, 金香螃蟹 (seasonal, approximately $30 each) - one of the speciality dishes from the Tze Char stall. Garnished with loads of curry leaf, the sauce was similar to XO sauce made with dried scallops and shrimps. Will be more shiok if it is spicier! Thank you @alstern_asian_cuisine for the hosted meal. Phew Monday's overrr!! The char siew here was very well-marinated and came adequately fat as requested (半肥) with charred edge for that burst of smokiness but not yet bitter. "Lor" was well balanced in taste and texture was with a slight herbal touch. Total for $3.50. Heard the sio bak is good too and has a good crackling to it.
