Rong liang has been around for a long time here at West Coast. Serving some of the best roasted duck I have ever had.

The duck was tender and was rather easily de-boned. The roasted skin was out of this world for me. Shiok!

The Char siew also damn good, expertly glazed, with charred corners and the right amount of fats. So sinful.

They also have a zhi char menu, but it's their boiled soups here that also have a loyal fan base.

First ate here years ago when I was not based in Singapore. I recall back then, good Hong Kong style roast meat restaurants were quite scarce In Clementi West Coast area. Besides roast meat, they also have wantan mee, zichar and they sell Nasi Lemak and porridge in the morning.

After my return I continue to frequent this place basically ordering the same duck drumstick rice with added roast pork, braised egg and double boiled water cress soup.

The quality dropped and the portion has been reduced over the years but price has increased to over $10 now. Only the double boiled soup has remained consistent in portion and taste. Quite disappointing.

Ordered the Char Siew Roast Meat Rice ($4).

Char Siew was fatty, juicy and delicious. Roast Meat is normal.

Overall, would patronised if nearby but wouldn't travel all the way for it.

Asked for thick cut and while really generous for 2 bucks, it's unfortunately still not good

Quite a nice small bowl of soup, tastes like something that's made in a home

The char siew is terrible now. No crisp no char hard texture and dry too.

Siobak was surprisingly v good. It's quite mild and clean tasting while having sufficient crisp and flavour
