Robert Mee Siam Lontong (Whampoa Makan Place Block 91)

A very simple meal to begin your day here, which taste light and sweet.

Unlike the Malay version, which is much more spicer. Robert's Mee Siam was not as spicy, it has a lighter texture as compared to the malay versionm

It has an old school Mee siam taste like those we had in the 90s, in the primary school canteen. The gravy was tangy and had a slight assam taste, auntie will squeeze the lime for you.

Quite a Basic Mee Siam, this store does not have extra ingredients to add on, like Begedil, etc. Only can add bee hoon or add egg. Also missing was the tau pok bits, maybe run out already, as other google reviews have it.

Cheap & Filling. Good meal for those on budget.

Just $3 for a simple homely plate of mee siam with a refreshing and tangy gravy. No fuss and yet so good.

When I crave for mee siam, I literally close my eyes and can taste the mee siam gravy at the back of my mind. Grew up eating this. First thing I ate when I came back from a one month work trip and forgot that they already give one egg. That's how I ended up with two eggs 😅 They used to sell lontong and you can add the lontong vege in.. But not anymore.
