Riverside Grilled Fish (VivoCity)

Found a perfect spot to satisfy my 烤鱼 cravings without the crowd & without the hefty price tag. Service is also great & prompt, making it a perfect space for family gatherings or just a date night for 2.

The Sweet Fragrance Sauce has only 1 🌶, which is perfect for those who are afraid of too much spice. This version is a nice sweet concoction with garlicky bits! It reminds me of of the Thai sweet chilli which is refreshing & comforting as well!

We chose Sea Bass which goes well with any of the sauces they have on the menu! Worth a go if you're into it!

Sharing an entire piece of sea bass between 2 pax was no easy feat, but tbh, it was so easy to finish due to how well-balanced this dish was!

From a choice of sauces/broth, we went with the Preserved Vegetables option, which comes as a spicy & non-spicy option. We opted for the former which was marked with 🌶. It ended up being mildly spicy, but really sour, which opened our appetite.

The sea bass was first fried before being soaked into the broth & topped with preserved vegetables, onions & red pepper. The butterfly cut allowed the meat to fully absorb the broth as it boils overtime, which maintaining its firm texture & sweet flesh. Definitely a fresh piece of fish.

You can also add in more ingredients, we chose black fungus ($3.80) and beancurd skin ($3.80) which sits below the fish.
