Dayummm! Though I was skeptical at first to see Braised Beef Brisket Noodle on their menu. But, turned out to be a pleasant surprise 😲 The beef brisket is so tender and so well-flavoured... and the noodle is really delicious and moist too.

Off to Petaling Jaya and Visited Chan Meng Kee for their Highly Raved Wonton Mee earlier this Morning!.

Can't get enough of the Char Siew as the Meat was Charred to Perfection, tender and sweet and just great for my liking! Would strongly recommend this for breakfast if you're in KL and For those Wonton Mee Fans out there! You should definitely give them a try!.

The next time you're out looking for a lunch spot to pig out with the colleagues, try long-time SS2 restaurant Chan Meng Kee. The lard-laden springy egg noodles here make for a great complement to the tender char siew (barbecued pork). For a mere RM6.50, the meal also comes with a bowl of wantons. You can also choose between the hearty braised beef brisket (RM7.50), roasted pork belly (RM6.50) or even the peculiar charm of braised chicken feet (RM7) to sit atop your egg noodles. Or else, simply splurge on a combination of two (from RM10.50) for maximum satisfaction. Avg Price: RM10

I finally had the chance to try the famous char siew wantan mee in SS2. Rumor said that this place is always full and people will have to queue. I came precisely at 6pm when the evening shift just started and it was still empty. Right after 15 minutes the place was swarmed with hungry diners.

The good news is the standard char siew wantan noodle costs RM6.50, which is quite the same with common wantan noodle found in most food courts.

The noodle was standard, but the char siew was to die for! The meat is tender with half and half ration of fat and meat. The dark caramelized outer layer is very delicate and sweet but savory at the same time! Be prepared to found some tiny bits of fried pork lard beneath the noodle! The wantans and broth was porky flavorsome with a dash of sesame oil flavor. I regret the fact that I didn't tapao some char siew when I went home and just craved for more!

The signature egg noodle with Bbq Pork (cha siew), special roasted chicken, braised beef brisket.

The springy egg noodle, served with your choice of protein ranging from cha siew (Bbq pork), siew yuk (roasted pork) to chicken feet.

A simple yet comfort food.

Generous portion of meat. Full house frequently. Slightly longer serve time. Bonus: though under the stress of high turn table rate, service remains decent.
