This is a must try.
Handmade noodles with a wallop of a spicy shrimp chilli.
The noodles were the Star here. Probably one of the best tasting noodles in a long time - QQ, firm .
Fried chicken cutlet with fried rice set ($6.50 on promo)
Comes with veg and complimentary soup. The fried rice was average but the chicken was soooooo good. Crispy batter which is so flavourful and the meat is still juicy and tender. The signboard says the meat has been marinated for x no of hours (8hrs?).
Very very nice. Will def come back for this. Theres a noodles version for this as well, for the same price.

Chicken Cutlet Noodles Set - $6.50
·
Crispy chicken cutlet that’s well marinated and crunchy on every bite. Whole egg noodles are drizzled with their special sauce & chills for extra kick. The set comes with extra serving of veg. Personally love to pair the noodles with tons of green chilli for extra flavours

I love the juicy well seasoned fried chicken cutlet, the springy (so springy) egg noodles and appetising pickled mustard veggies you can feel free to top.
Yet the sauce of the noodles were sweeeeet. Was I surprised that the base flavour given in the important sauce that will coat and meld the meal together is Sweet? For a main course.. for a non sweets lover like me, I found it quite off putting.
I’m sure the fried shallots is sweet in nature yet the soy base is also pretty heavily leaning towards a sweet flavour profile too 🙈 weeelll..
It’s a fragrant dish with ingredients I personally love love. But that sauce.. makes even the noodles not so enjoyable as the taste builds up.
6/10 for me!
Going to be pretty cheeky to classify this under unidentified cos I don’t know if this is main course or dessert.
Just a quick spark of idea. I think the Malaysian style clear sauce/seasoning would be amazing for the noodles. Have that option of sweet and sour spicy in the chilli yknow? To balance out the savoury components of the dish like the meat. And really bring out the noodles 😋
A great chicken cutlet is my siren song, and RedRing’s version makes me want to RedRum a flock’s worth of cutlets.
Tearing through the crunchy, fragile batter and tender, well-seasoned flesh will make you realise topping up $1 for a whole extra piece of chicken is a savagely good idea. The QQ noodles coated in a subtly sweet light soya sauce almost plays second fiddle.
Taste: 3.5/5

RedRing's whole egg noodles were really Q; springy without a hint of the "kee" taste. But my favourite part? The crispy fried chicken cutlet! I've doubled my portion for only additional $1 and finished it all on my own! Great deal and great food! MUST TRY when you're at Wisma's Food Republic 😋
