The award-winning Rang Mahal restaurant at Pan Pacific Singapore is famed for its classy, sophisticated ambience, and its traditional fare with impeccable quality. While they are still closed during Phase 2, you can enjoy their food via delivery or takeaway.

Featured here is the Rang Mahal Thali Set that’s filled with a plethora of mouthwatering Indian dishes! My favourites were the Chicken Biryani with well flavoured basmati rice, the flavourful Chicken Tikka Masala that’s enhanced with paprika, yoghurt and spices and also the classic Garlic Naan! It was also my first time trying Pani Puri, which are crispy puffs filled with masala potatoes & spiced mint water that bursts in your mouth when you bite into them; it made for a delightful Indian snack!

It is also heartening to know that with each order, Rang Mahal is donating a meal to a family in Singapore affected by COVID-19. You can order their food online via https://rangmahal.oddle.me/en_SG. For enquiries or any menu customisation, you can contact them at ‪+65 9667 4244‬ or email ‪rangmahal@rangmahal.com.sg‬.

Everything you see above is part of the “Rang Mahal Thali” Set ($52). I had picked the non-vegetarian option and it was a bountiful meal that comprised of the following delicious items...

1. Chowpatty Ki Pani Puri - A fun, vegetarian D.I.Y. delight of airy-light crispy puffs to be savoured with masala potatoes, chutneys, spiced mint water and sev (each packed separately).

2. Murg Tikka Dhaba Biryani - This Punjabi Dhaba style of hearty rice had big pieces of tender boneless chicken buried in the basmati grains.

3. Tandoor-grilled Seabass - Marinated with carrom seeds, yoghurt and spices, the big pieces of fish were fragrant and moist. I enjoyed this dish a lot.

4. Chicken Tikka - Enhanced with paprika, yoghurt and spices, the aromatic, thick gravy demanded to be mopped up by the Garlic Naan. The pieces of chicken were well-cooked and full of flavour.

5. Garlic Naan - Rang Mahal’s version leaned towards the puffy and light, and was very yums.

6. Dal Makhni - I found this comfortingly rich bowl of lentils that had been slow-cooked overnight, impossible to resist.

7. Crispy Moong Lentils - Never had I eaten anything like it and I was smittened from my first bite! The light and crunchy flakes were a bit spicy and on the salty side but boy, were they addictive.

8. Kachumber Raita - Who doesn’t love a splash of this yoghurt relish with onions, tomatoes and cucumbers, over everything.

9. Gulab Jamun - I am sure there are those who are crazy about this dessert but a small bite of the round dumplings saturated in sweet rose saffron nectar syrup was sufficient for me.

Even though we are now in Phase 2 of post Circuit Breaker opening, @rangmahal is continuing with their Takeaway / Delivery Menu. So if you are looking to have some Indian food at home, just tap on their link-in-bio on Instagram to check out the menu and place an order.

A feast for the mind, body & soul - elements of water, ether, air, fire & earth were presented in each course to showcase innovative takes of classic Indian cuisine with impeccable quality. Service is famously mannered while the food & ambience come together in perfect harmony.

I’ve always been a fan of Indian cuisine but this was actually my first shot tasting sophisticated Indian dishes in an elegant setting. Hands down one of the best firsts of my life thanks to @wineanddinesg! Psst! the Tandoori Tiger Prawn & Basil Chicken Tikka were definitely unforgettable.

Gourmet menu with my favourites aside, their latest introduction (2nd photo) for future patrons also features the Largest Papadum in Singapore! Literally birthed from the back of the wok, the ✨Roomali Masala Papad ($15) was incredibly crispy & paper-thin, with bold masala flavours from its special spice blend, topped with lentil crispies, tomatoes, onions, Chili & sev. We were more than keen to get our hands dirty for this! 💕
