I finally tried this relatively cheap Michelin-starred brand. Here they used much thinner slices of eggplant ie more batter, so it depends what you like, but I didn't. A lot more floss than other places, but I don't expect less from Putien.

The humble sweet and sour pork is a favourite for many Chinese food lovers. Perhaps it’s one of the few dishes Westerners first encounter when having their first taste of Chinese cuisine.

Putien’s version uses lychee instead of pineapples (although I very much prefer pineapples) and is one of the restaurant’s signature dishes. It comes with a medley of vegetables and the sauce is particularly sweet which probably comes from the lychees. I particularly enjoy how the batter is fried till crispy while the meat remains tender and juicy on the inside. There’s a good balance of meat and batter for the pork. For the health conscious, the meat is rather lean and contains little fat. It’s great but I won’t say it’s my favourite just yet.

Simple, unpretentious and rustic Chinese cuisine in a nice environment. Food was decently price and very tasty. Service was great. Fantastic place to have lunch or dinner after a good time in Sentosa. It is of little wonder why they are Michelin Worthy.

Deep fried to a perfect brown and served with their homemade dip which in my opinion almost stole the show from the fish. Almost like light soy sauce but with a tinge of sweetness and packing lots of chopped garlic. I started by dabbing a bit of the dip on my fish, then progressed to drizzling and eventually simply dunking in the little sauce plate😍👍🏼

This was 1 of the 7 dishes we ordered but it was the best in my opinion. The deep fried pieces of egg plant were light and not greasy. I believed they stir fried the pork floss as well as it was sweet and tasty. The dish is good on it's own and just as well with rice :) in short, once you start you cant stop!

simmered with red mushroom! The soup is actually in red color. I understand that the redder the color the richer in taste. The soup is so flavourful and my family love it! A
