For a chain bakery cake, this durian cake was actually pretty darn solid! True to its exterior, the transverse middle layer is generously filled with durian paste-cream that is flavourful and hits the spot. Definitely one of the better sponge cakes out there, albeit more on the premium side given this price point (but is already easily one of the cheaper durian cakes around) 🎂🍰

The chocolate was rich and paired really well with the light buttery crust. Topped with hazelnuts for the extra crunch. I can wipe them clean all on my own.

Finally tried the highly raved Salted Yolk Lava Egg Tart from @primadelisg. Pretty impressed. Unfortunately mine wasn't "flowing" because I didn't toast it long enough 😅
Definitely prefer the salted egg to the normal cheese tart.
