Great World city / basement 1
( sorry - really having much difficulty adding this new location to Burpple )

Was initially celebrating my find of pita and olives at Great World city after I had such a good experience with their outlet at Suntec City , pasar Bella but in dismay , I left the place .

Waited 30 mins because the chef forgot my order and when I was so Hungry and expecting a good lunch - the pita was probably one of the worst I have had . The pita was stiff and all dense - nothing fresh about it. If I can say , totally opposite of what I had the last time . I gave up eating it halfway .

The falafels are ok - baked so less greasy but was grainy and a little dry - wondering if they were fresh too .

A case of an overworked staff doing taking orders cashiering and cooking .

Hope standards improve soon back to their former glories .

Why would you get monday blues with a pita so good .

The best homemade pita I have eaten thus far . Crisp and fluffy with a good texture and bite .

For those of you who know bread - this pita was literally alive . It seemed to take on a life of its own - integrating the taste of the falafel , the homemade parsley chutney and the beautiful creamy hummus.

The falafel had an interesting texture ( almost tasting like there were corn grits inside ) , was well seasoned without being too salty Nor greasy .

The stall owner was nice to give me a dallop of homemade chilli paste to go with my meal .

I was fed , nourished ... ...
This was so amazingly good .....

Blessed to be in a multi cultural country like singapore where you get a melting pot of cultures and of course - food 🥘

Served with soft pita and hummus. Accompanying salad was fresh too.

The falafels are warm and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and that’s about all the good things about this meal. The pita feels dead - too much flour on the outside and not warm. The hummus is passable and the side salad a joke. The olives too sharp and the other vegetables felt like it’s been washed after eating - way too bland even for an unsalted mixed.

This was good!!! Chicken was tender and had good flavour. Hummus was lovely too. A bit pricey at around $15 but I think it can serve two people, just buy another pita!

Roasted Chicken Pizza ($14)

This roasted chicken pizza from Pita and Olives @pasarbella was a really classic example of not tasting as good as it looks. Unfortunately, the pizza veered a little too salty and the grilled chicken was tough and dry. Maybe we picked the wrong flavour🤔.
