What started as a humble stall in Chow Yang coffee shop is now a full-fledged restaurant serving authentic Vietnamese nosh in SS2. It’s typically packed for dinner, so swing by for an early meal to beat the crowd. There are five types of soup noodles available – our picks include the spot-on Hanoi-style Beef Noodles (from RM12.50) with rare beef and brisket slices and the Hue-style Spicy Beef Noodles (from RM17.90), which Burppler Nicholas Ng declares has a “nice kick” from the chilli. When the sun’s out bright and beaming, the tangy Hanoi Grilled Pork Noodles (RM15.90) with grilled pork patties is a delight to devour. Pro tip: Make weekday lunch plans here as set lunches start from as low as RM9.90!

A must order whenever you go Viet for noms. Pho King definitely did it right. I've yet to try the 'real deal' in the country where it originated, if you may say so. But it's alright, till then, I'm happy with this!
Pho was oh-so good and hit all em' right spots! Almost finished the whole bowl of soup (on hindsight, what's wrong with finishing the soup, eh?) Porridge was a pleasant surprise. Actually gave my dad the side eye when he ordered that in a Vietnamese restaurant. But gotta eat my own words (or rather the porridge!)
This husband & wife team started out selling home cooked Vietnamese dishes at a hawker stall in a nearby kopitiam for years before they decided to move into their own restaurant in SS2 last year. Pho King serves one of the best & authentic Pho with clear & delicious broth by using only premium Australian Beef & Sanbanto Pork.
Another crowd favourite here is the Hanoi Grilled Pork Noodles, aka Bun Cha, which is also Obama’s and my favourite. Well marinated & perfectly grilled pork served with rice noodles, fresh greens & tangy dipping sauce.
Never forget to try the Vietnamese Drip Coffee and Fresh Summer Roll too because you might get addicted to the peanut dipping sauce like me.

It’s possible that the pho tastes even better now than it did before. I’ve always been a fan of Pho King’s bun cha but now I’m torn after eating this bowl of noodles. The broth was light yet very flavourful, and the beef slices, man were they tender.
